Owner and lead roofer
Marcus Hale
Marcus tiled new-estate roofs for a project builder for six years before starting Stuart Ridge in 2013. He is the one who walks the roof on a leak call, and he is the reason nobody leaves a repair without running a hose over it. In the film he is the roofer in the navy check shirt who walks into the lounge room, looks up at the ceiling, then looks at the umbrella.

Wayne Prosser
Leading hand, roof tiling
Wayne has been tiling roofs in Townsville since the early nineties and can tell you which estate a tile profile came from by looking at it. He sets up every access point and he is the one who decides whether the day is safe. In the film he is the roofer in the harness going up the ladder.

Ishan Perera
Roof plumber, metal roofing and guttering
Ishan handles everything made of steel: re-screwing, sheet replacement, flashings, gutters, downpipes and stormwater. He sizes downpipes off the roof area rather than off what was there before, which is why a lot of our jobs end up with one more than they started with. In the film he is the roofer carrying the roof ladder across the tiles.

Bailey Nardi
Third-year apprentice roof tiler
Bailey came to us out of school in Condon and has already re-bedded more ridge capping than most tilers manage in five years, because that is what a wet season in this town asks for. He does the gutter cleans and the photo reports that go with them.

Renee Callow
Operations manager
Renee writes the quotes, runs the schedule and handles the insurer paperwork, which between November and April is a full job on its own. If you have rung us and a human answered inside two rings, it was Renee.
