Steel roofs in this town fail at the fastener before they fail at the sheet. The neoprene washer perishes in the ultraviolet, the screw backs out a turn or two under thermal movement, and every screw hole becomes a slow leak. Re-screwing replaces the lot with cyclone-rated fasteners and new sealing washers seated to the correct torque, which also restores the roof's tie-down capacity. Where sheets have gone at the laps or rusted out at the gutter line we replace them, and where a roof still has years in it we treat and coat the surface rust rather than sell you a roof you do not need yet.

How do I know if my roof needs re-screwing?
Look for rust rings around the screw heads from the ground with binoculars, or listen for the roof cracking loudly on a hot afternoon. If the house is over about eighteen years old and has never been re-screwed, it is due.
Does re-screwing improve cyclone resistance?
It restores it. A perished or backed-out screw is not holding what the engineer assumed it was holding, and in Region C that matters. New cyclone-rated fasteners at the correct spacing bring the tie-down back to where it should be.
Can you re-screw a roof with solar panels on it?
The open areas, yes. Under the arrays we need the panels lifted, which we coordinate with your solar installer rather than touching the electrical work ourselves.
